Created by mastermind Jonathan Nolan (“Memento”/”Inception”), CBS’s “Person of Interest,” now in its third season, remains one of the best procedural dramas on television. Set in a gritty post 9-11 New York City, the series’ mix of thrilling action, cerebral writing, and highly developed characters keep audiences coming back for more. As part of The Paley Center for Media’s Made in NY event, the stars took a break from stopping crimes and joined the creator for a chat about the series.

With an impressive resume in the film industry, Jonathan Nolan explained that he took a leap of faith when he tried to adapt his cinematic vision onto the small screen. “It was something that hasn’t really been done before, but nobody said I couldn’t do something like this,” he explained. “I was really inspired by shows, like the “X-Files,” which had a procedural structure, but still…
